Now you will no longer be restricted to the often very narrow range of mounting options offered by many maufacturers who, either due to legacy design or to lock users into their own, often rather pricey mount ring systems.

With a picatinny  - NATO 1913 spec rail - you can now access the previously inacessible huge range of picatinny mounts, accessories and night vision sights that have integrated picatinny base mounts.
